CASPAR Strengthening Our Community Event
CASPAR's "Strengthening Our Community" event on March 28 was a huge, SOLD OUT success! We welcomed close to 250 friends, including members of Cambridge's civic and business communities, elected officials and neighbors who support of our life-saving work with individuals challenged by homelessness and addiction.
Our fundraising goal for the evening was $225,000 and we're proud to say that we not only reached it, but exceeded it, thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and all who attended and donated!
We were also proud to present the Carl F. Barron Catalyst for Change Award to Life Science Cares for their support of CASPAR and their commitment to fighting poverty and its effects in Cambridge, Boston and beyond.
Our profound thanks to our event committee, including our event co-chairs Jeff Lockwood and Sarah Gallop; our dozens of amazing sponsors, led by our Presenting Sponsors DivcoWest, MIT, and our hosts for the evening, Pfizer; our Sustaining Sponsor Novartis; and our Lead Sponsor, Alexandria Real Estate; our auctioneer extraordinaire, Eric Lander of The Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard; our guest speakers, including Cambridge Mayor Marc McGovern; and all the hardworking staff and volunteers whose efforts helped us have such a fantastic night!
