Bay Cove’s Center House Day Treatment (CHDTP) is a psychiatric day treatment program serving adults from the greater Boston area with serious mental health conditions and substance use disorders. Treatment is provided in therapeutic groups within a supportive community. People who attend CHDTP have a variety of psychiatric conditions including mood, anxiety, personality, and psychotic disorders, often in addition to trauma histories and addiction disorder.
The CHDTP community is grounded in a firm belief in attainable mental health recovery. Participants of the program can expect to work towards individualized goals through expressive therapies, education opportunities, and community-driven group therapy.
People who attend CHDTP create a group schedule that is specific to their needs and congruent with their individual goals. Some choose to attend full time, and others balance work, home-life, and appointments with a part-time schedule. People are usually expected to be present at least 3 days per week.
