Support Bay Cove this #GivingTuesday!
November 27, 2018
They come in fast succession, often before the Thanksgiving dinner cleanup is even finished: #BlackFriday, #SmallBusinessSaturday, and #CyberMonday. However, we think the best annual “day” kicking off the December holiday season is saved for last: #GivingTuesday.
#GivingTuesday is a day of global giving, one particularly focused on giving locally, and on supporting the organizations that strengthen your community—organizations like Bay Cove.
If you or someone you know has struggled with a substance use disorder, mental illness, developmental disability, homelessness, or the difficulties associated with aging, then you know how hard these issues can be to face alone. Bay Cove Human Services is the non-profit organization that helps thousands of men, women and children across Eastern Massachusetts overcome these major life challenges.
Bay Cove’s mission is to partner with people to overcome challenges and realize personal potential, and you are a key part of that partnership. Bay Cove depends on private support—donations from people who share our commitment to our most vulnerable neighbors—to provide the kind of individualized services that help each person to pursue his or her own goals.
Every donation has a real impact!
$2,500 could provide a year of therapeutic toddler groups for a child in our Early Intervention program
$1,000 could provide 6 months of rental assistance for a person with mental illness
$500 could provide an iPad for a non-verbal person with developmental disabilities
$250 could provide an extra day of inpatient detox for someone beginning their recovery from a substance use disorder at Bay Cove’s Andrew House program.
$100 could provide breakfast for 80 people at our Medeiros Center for Change, a day program for older adults who are homeless.
$50 could pay for yoga (or other wellness activities) for a person living with mental illness.
$25 could pay for formula for infants in our New Day program for expecting and new mothers in recovery from opioid addiction.
$10 could pay for a blanket for a person experiencing homelessness
