Give the Gift of Warmth This Winter!

A significant number of the men and women we serve at Bay Cove are—in addition to the challenges they face related to developmental disabilities, mental illness and/or substance use disorder—also struggling with poverty. Many of our clients are currently homeless, and for those we serve who live on the street 24/7, access shelter services, or are simply living below the poverty level, the winter months are the most difficult and dangerous to negotiate.

Please help our most vulnerable neighbors stay warm this winter!

We are currently accepting clothing donations, with a particular emphasis on the following items:

  • New or gently used winter coats (larger sizes - XL-6XL - are particularly needed)

  • Men’s winter boots

  • Gloves and scarves

  • Sweatpants, sweatshirts and sweaters

  • New pairs of socks (wool socks are best—white cotton are also needed) and underwear for men and women

  • Men’s and women’s jeans (Sizes 30-40 for men; 10-16 for women)

If you are interested in donating items of clothing, or in organizing a clothing drive of your own, please contact Caitie Sprague at 617-619-5930. She and our Development team can determine a convenient drop-off time/location for you, or help you coordinate a drive.

We thank you for your kindness and generosity, as we work together to keep those we serve warm and safe this winter!
