The 2019 Changing Lives Gala Welcomes A Boston Culinary Legend

Bay Cove’s biggest fundraising evening of the year, The Changing Lives Gala, just got a bit bigger—and tastier—with the delicious news that legendary Boston chef Lydia Shire will be designing and preparing a special menu for the event on May 23!

Shire is an internationally-acclaimed and James Beard Award-winning chef, and the creative culinary force behind such iconic Boston restaurants as Locke-Ober, Biba and her current eatery, Scampo in Boston’s Liberty Hotel. Her presence at the Changing Lives Gala brings some gourmet star power to match that of our guests of honor, Changing Lives Award honorees Michael and Kitty Dukakis.

The Changing Lives Gala will be held on the evening of Thursday, May 23, at the Renaissance Boston   Waterfront Hotel. The event will be hosted by longtime Bay Cove supporter Susan Wornick, and will feature a cocktail reception, silent and live auctions, inspiring stories from individuals served at Bay Cove and, of course, the presentation of the Changing Lives Award to Governor and Mrs. Dukakis.
