Small Wonders Nursery School
The Small Wonders Nursery School provides exceptionally high-quality early childhood education for children 16-36 months of age from Dorchester and surrounding communities.
Small Wonders offers toddler classes twice a week (Tuesday/Thursday or Wednesday/Friday), with morning and afternoon sessions (9:00-10:30 am, 11:00 am-12:30 pm or 1:30-3:00 pm). Our school is fully inclusive and accommodates children with and without disabilities. Special care is taken at Small Wonders to recognize and celebrate the racial and cultural diversity of the children served. This diversity contributes to the richness of the learning experience for children in the program.
Located in the Daniel C. Boynton Child Development Center, Small Wonders features four classrooms equipped with a wide variety of toys chosen to provide a multi-sensory learning experience. Family observation rooms with one-way mirrors allow parents to observe their children’s progress. Additionally, children have access to on-site indoor and outdoor playgrounds. All spaces have been designed to allow children with and without disabilities to fully participate in all activities.
Small Wonders boasts a professional, multidisciplinary staff, with a ratio of one teacher for every three students, which allows staff members to provide more intense and individualized interaction with each child.
Toddler classes are $130 per month, for a 1.5-hour class twice a week; reduced fees are available based upon need.
